Believe You Can, And You Will

“Believe in yourself. You are braver than you think, more talented than you know, and capable of more than you imagine.”
― Roy T. BennettThe Light in the Heart

If you could go back in time as the adult you are now to visit the small child you were, what would you say to that small child?

Would you tell that small child to believe in himself or herself?  Would you tell that small image of yourself to be aware of things to come?

If I could travel back in time I would love to be able to tell my small former self to be confident, be brave, not to worry what others think and to be happy.

To be perfectly honest, I have no regrets;  however, it would be nice to be able to go back and say these things, now that I know!

No Place Like Home

Somewhere over the rainbow, blue birds fly……. Judy Garland”

There is no place like home, we know

As Judy Garland sings

We heard her sing and all recall

True happiness it brings

Our wonderful planet, our beautiful world

We have to care, it’s clear

If we neglect to do our part

It may just disappear

We can’t accept such gloom and doom

Within our grasp is hope you see

The prize is Earth, our lush green Earth

We can save it…… YOU AND ME!!!

Irrelevant Is Just A Word

Irrelevant is just a word

It shouts to us this way

You can’t be special, wanted, loved

Such foolishness I say

So many in this world today

Feel lonely, shunned and lost

How do we fight these thoughts at last

Let us never bear the cost

You are important, each one of you

To this world, one and all

You were put here for a reason

Please believe it;  do not fall

Please do not fall victim to

Helpless thoughts inside;  The silent cries

You must not let them have their way

You matter, you are loved, please dry your eyes

The thought that I don’t  matter

Has tortured me, it’s true

I never will let it be

Who I am!   Now how about you?

Walk With Me, Don’t Show Me The Way

“I’d rather one should walk with me, than merely show the way.”  Edgar A Guest

Life is full of ups and downs.  I usually like to write an uplifting poem or story and today as I sat at my computer, I was feeling a bit low.  Feeling sorry for myself  is the term as it has been a tumultuous four years of change in my life following a separation.

Even though I don’t know Martha  I feel she has walked with me this morning!!

As I usually do, I took a look at my WordPress site for the Prompt Word of the day and decided to read a few blogs that have been posted.  The first blog I read was, “The New Leaf”, by Martha Ann Kennedy.  This blog was such an inspiration to me and helped me to see that I am not alone in my struggles and thoughts.  There are so many others out there who are facing problems and the most important thing is that they are dealing with these struggles.

I have turned over a new leaf!!!  I will thrive!!!  I will survive!!!!

The most important fact to remember and to act upon is to “DO IT”.  To not give up!  To not become discouraged!  Enough said!!!!!!
